Welcome to this week’s video blog. For those of you in the UK we hope you’ve been enjoying the fantastic sun! We are really excited by our first video this week, as we believe it to be a really important insight on the psychology side of the clinic, presented by Alex and Sarah from our psychology team. Anxiety in ME, CFS and Fibromyalgia is something the clinic has talked about in considerable detail in the past, but this video explains the three different kinds of anxiety, which is a new clarification in the clinics model. This model has massive implications for what kind of treatments are going to be effective, and also supporting patients in calming their nervous systems in the most effective ways. In this video they talk about the maladaptive stress response in ME, CFS and Fibromyalgia and the role of mitochondrial malfunction.[youtube RyrPtgGdvkU]Please do post you comments on our videos and share your thoughts, and the clinic team will do their best to answer them as well.
