Martina Cowen is a Registered Nutritional Therapist and Mind-Body Eating Coach with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. She graduated from the College of Naturopathic Medicine and, as a member of the OHC nutrition team, she enjoys supporting clients with personalised integrative approaches to health.
Her work combines functional nutrition with the psychology of eating, helping clients understand the deeper drivers behind cravings, habits, and their relationship with food. She further developed this approach through her training as a Mind-Body Eating Coach with the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, strengthening her understanding of the link between physiology, mindset, and behaviour.
Martina previously held a Clinical Education and Support position with Genova Diagnostics, where she worked closely with practitioners to interpret functional testing and apply them effectively in clinical practice. This experience underpins her strong, practical use of advanced laboratory testing in her work today.
She is also a lecturer at the College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she teaches and supports the next generation of practitioners. Martina has a particular interest in complex and chronic presentations, including mould-related illness, fatigue, and digestive health. She is known for her warm, client-centred approach that combines science with compassion.
Outside of her work, Martina enjoys spending time at her allotment, and values a slower, more grounded approach to health. Martina is a keen runner and is often accompanied by her dog on her explores of the countryside.
