The OHC approach over the years has been to systematically research and test as many approaches as possible and pull them together in the most effective approach possible.  Having been at the forefront of CAM (complementary and alternative medicine) based approaches to optimising health, relaxation and well being for the last eighteen years and more recently combining these with traditional approaches to working with fatigue related conditions, the team have a unique perspective.

The majority of practitioners in the OHC psychology team have had their own personal experience of fatigue, which gives them a real understanding of the kind of challenges that patients are dealing with.

A great benefit of working with the OHC psychology team is that they have decades of experience between them, and so when you are consulting with one practitioner, they have the experience of the entire team to draw upon. The team are constantly attending new trainings and seminars and researching new psychology protocols – their approach to their own skills as practitioners is: “constant and never ending improvement.

Questions about the OHC psychology department and fatigue related conditions

What are fatigue related conditions?

Fatigue related conditions is a generic name for a number of different conditions which have fatigue as a key symptom. The labels themselves can be confusing, with different research groups, medical practitioners and organsiations preferring different labels.

Research suggests that this group of conditions are the result of a number of different subgroups and imbalances, with each person having a unique picture of what is going on for them.

What does the OHC psychology department do?

The OHC psychology team specialise in helping you get your body into the optimum state to support making the changes you want to make. This can range from techniques to calming the nervous system, to working on underlying emotional patterns to learning to listen to your body.

Is there any evidence that the OHC approach helps people?

Yes there is. Every case is different, and we very strongly believe in understanding each person as an individual. Initially, we relied on customer feedback and studying individual case studies (many of which you can read on the site). More recently, we have been conducting research studies on our approach, and you can read some of the findings here.
