What makes your courses unique?
We believe that our courses are unique due to their groundbreaking integration of the various cutting edge areas that make them up. We don’t know of any other course that is so all encompassing. We also believe that the clinical components of our Level 3 course is absolutely key for those looking to become a professional therapist, and are additionally groundbreaking in the level of depth they go into.

What are the prequisities to training with you, for example do I need a degree in psychology first?
Because our courses start at the foundation levels of training, there are no prerequisites as far as psychology training is concerned. Our approach has its own philosophy, and so a background in traditional psychology, although helpful in some ways, is certainly not a necessity. The primary criteria we have for our courses is that students must demonstrate appropriate communication and empathic skills, which are often greatly supported by having a certain amount of “life experience” (although this is not age dependent, we have trained students in their 20’s that had more life experience than others in their 60’s).

I’ve already done an NLP practitioner course elsewhere; can I just do your more advanced training courses with you?
Yes, if you have an NLP practitioner qualification from another organisation, then you can join our course at Level 2. However, you will need to also attend our Level 1 course at some stage (for which you would pay a significantly discounted fee) as our Level 1 syllabus goes into more depth than other courses, and also has its own unique components such as EFT.

Who are your courses accredited by?
The NLP component of our courses are accredited by the ANLP which is one of the largest NLP accreditation bodies in the world. The hypnotherapy component of our courses (effectively the Diploma gained at Level 3) is accredited by the British Institute of Hypnotherapy (BIH). We believe the BIH to be one of the most reputable organisations due to its insistence on members undertaking clinically based trainings (a factor which we also believe will be of key importance when at some stage hypnotherapy becomes more regulated). The EFT component of our courses is accredited by The Association of the Advancement of Meridian Energy Techniques (AAMET). The Life Coaching component of our courses is not affiliated to any organisation as we do not feel there is an appropriate governing body in this field.

Once I’ve completed training, will I be able to get professional insurance to work with paying patients?
Through completing our Level 1 and 2 trainings, you will have skills that you can apply to an area you are already working in (for example if you already working as therapist, you will have more skills you can add to your toolbox). Once you have completed our Level 3 training, you will be able to set yourself up as a practitioner with full professional insurance.

I’m already qualified as a practitioner, but your courses look so thorough, can I still do some training with you?
Absolutely, we’ve actually had several students do all three of our courses from scratch, despite already being qualified as NLP trainers! The level of depth and experience we offer is considered second to none. In some situations we offer concessionary rate for those already qualified elsewhere, please contact Alex directly to discuss this at alex@TheOptimumHealthClinic.com

Do you offer payment plans?
Although we do not offer payment plans, students are able to apply for career development loans, which effectively means students are able to pay for the course in instalments once they have qualified – the idea being that students pay for the training with income generated from undertaking the course. Our Levels 2 and 3 are registered for this scheme. More details can be obtained by calling the career development loan helpline on 0800 585 50. Our learned provider number is 12240

Are your trainers only trainers or are they clinicians as well?
Absolutely, we believe an essential factor in teaching this material is to be working with it day in day out in the real world of treating patients. In fact, we believe this is one of the things that really makes our courses stand out. For more information on this, click here for our “About” section.

I’m fascinated by these areas, but not sure if I actually want to work as a practitioner, are your courses still appropriate?
Most definitely. At Level 1 we are primarily teaching students how to be using the tools taught with themselves, as this is an essential step to being able to work with others. At Level 2, students develop their experience of these tools, along with learning more in-depth techniques. At Level 2 students also learn how to apply them to working with others. We have had students go up to Level 2 who still aren’t necessarily planning to work with patients in the future. Level 3 and beyond are only appropriate for those looking to work professionally as a therapist.
